Kaiki suggests that it was Yoko who cut Kuronue's pendant and made him fall into the trap that killed him and left him there to die. Playing on Kurama's disbelief and bewilderment, Kaiki slices Kurama and destroys the site. Kaiki, disguised as Kuronue, opposes Kurama after he tries to seal the site. Kurama goes to one of the five Spiritual Energy sites to prevent the Meikai Gods from unsealing it. Kuronue and his partner in crime, Yoko Kurama After Kuronue's death, Yoko was left alone and stole the artifact by himself.

Before he bled to death, Yoko tried to rescue him, but at Kuronue's behest and pleading, Yoko reluctantly ran to save himself. After picking it up, Kuronue fell into a trap of shooting bamboos and was pierced several times throughout his body. Kuronue went back for it since it was important to him, while Yoko tried to stop him, telling him that it wasn't important enough to go back for. Suddenly, the string of Kuronue's pendant was somehow cut and the pendant fell to the ground below. Since they shared similar values, they soon became good friends and stole many artifacts together.ĭuring an escape after successfully obtaining some rare antiquities, the two bandits pulled together at the palace of the Demon World. At some point, he met Yoko Kurama, the 'Legendary Bandit' and an A-class ranked fox-demon. Most of Kuronue's early life is unknown other than the fact that he was a thief who stole artifacts.
